That looks like cast crank engine so...flex plate from factory would have been the same but converter for it would have had weights--today the way to go is just get easy to score neutral bal converter for steel crank style engine and use a B&M flexplate that corrects for use with cast crank--it has weight taken off one side vs. adding weight they work great. I think it is part #10237 but see website to confirm

The flexplate don't care , that's an external balance dampner so the convertor will also be weighted.

YES. cast crank engines (except 273s, 318s and 5.2Magnum engines) have some of the crankshaft counterweight carried on the harmonic damper and the flywheel or the torque converter.

You can see the off-balance part on the damper in the picture.

so i need a special cast crank converter and i guess it only is keyed to fit one way to matain the balance so that means a special flexplate correct??
never fooled with cast crank engines till my 440 was drowned by sandy.

All the V8 Mopar flexplates go on one way only Same thing on the torque converters, they will only bolt up to the flexplates one way
