filmsurgeon OP mopar Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 401 California, USA	Can anyone help with advice on how to best "restore" the white numbering/lettering of the clear radio station lens? BigMoneyLewis master Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 4,247 Alabama	The numbers are recessed into the lense on the E body AM, so a fine point white paint pen works well . Usually however the new paint is too white compared to the original . To avoid all that hassle I usually just grab a better lense out of a parts radio . Greg gregward@mchsi.com phone 256-852-0955

burdar Owen's Dad Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 7,363 Iowa	If the numbers are recessed, then you could use some Testors paint in them. Make sure you get good coverage...let it dry, and then wipe the excess off the face with mineral spirits.

If the paint is "too white" you can add a little (and I mean a LITTLE) yellow, brown or green to tint the white a bit. I'm not sure exactly what shade the dial tends to lean towards, but Testors paints are so cheap it's easy to experimant. Also, once you have to color, you might want to thin it a bit so it will flow into all the nooks and crannies on the dial better. Ni!

AAR#2 super stock A Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 768 Dry Heat AZ	I'd clean it out if you want it to be uniform, plastic polish or alcohol should remove it and when I do these I use a lacquer stick. Easiest to work with.

To fill the syringe I pull the plunger out the back & pour the paint into the syringe... With practice you can get amazing results...
