After a LONG winter I got some time to improve/finish some stuff on the raptor I didn't get to last year. The PVC cooling pipe thing didn't work out so well. Another member had mentioned he used trampoline pipe so I tried it and it worked out well. The PVC made an excellent template and no leaks so far.

Scrapped 2 radiators and got a new one.

Went with the quad lamp set up but plugged off the lower buckets.(useless to have lites that low) Added clearence lites I scavaged from another truck. Really wanted to paint the whole truck this year but only did the fenders I replaced.

I also picked up another pair of boggers for the rear suitable for trailriding. Had to retire the old paddle wheels.

how much did it add to the the cooling system capacity?

Thanks.
The problem with PVC is you have to keep the temp below 200 deg. or it will start to sag. The old radiator I had wasn't up to the task even with a 160 stat. Secondly, there wasn't anyway to barb the ends to keep the hoses on. Double clamping worked until you got overtemp. I do recommend using PVC to mock up your routing.

I looked seriously at some EMT. The bends were too large for anything I did. My other choice was Summit exhaust tubing with some pre-bent turns.

Not sure about capacity. Maybe a gallon.

Thanks! There's alot of stuff on Pennswoods in your area but I can't afford the time to go. Bought both pairs on craigslist and had to look everyday for months for something decent at a decent price.
