Dave Watt OP master D Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 5,048 Atlanta Indiana	My 2010 Avenger 2.4L engine has a hesitation that feels as if you shut the key off for a second, then it picks right back up. Mostly during part throttle acceleration such as taking off from a dead stop. Other times it's when accelerating to get around a slower car. I was thinking of: A: Throttle Position Sensor B: Crank Sensor C: Cam Sensor Any ideas would be appreciated. Dave

Dave Watt OP master D Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 5,048 Atlanta Indiana	While trying to think what could be causing the hesitation issue, it was time to fill up with gas. I decided to run a tank of Premium just as an experiment. So far, the hesitation is 99% cured. Spark plugs are next.

71yelladustr super stock 7 Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 1,035 Missouri U.S.A.	There were some issues with the throttle bodies on the 2.4s that caused this problem. The problem was with the electric motor that operates the throttle not being able to move the sticking throttle blade, causing a hesistation sometimes. You may try cleaning the throttle body real good and see if this helps. 392 gen III hemi on E-85 727 trans Dana 60 10.02@134
