Motor sounds nice and peppy, good valve seal. Nice sounding charge to the stripe. It looked a little "tight" on the launch, but if it 60's within .005 with new tires, so be it. Car looks great too!

What rpm are you:
Leaving at?
Shifting at?
trapping at?
There's at least a tenth and a half in 60ft. Nice to see you racing again!

motor is an r3 59* block with the smaller indy 360 cylinder heads. cnc ported and polished then touched up by Brian. i believe they flowed 339 @700. 14 to 1 compression. the cam is a comp solid roller. i think it was .765 on the intake and .715 on the exhaust. t and d rockers. 4.125 stroke 4.060 bore 6.25 rod. 727 with a 6100 a1 stall converter, and a dana with 4.30 spool.dyno'd 726 @ 7000 590 ft lbs @5600 car weighs 3050 with me in it
Brian my 2 step is set at 3800 rpm. iwas shifting at 7500 and light came on about 100feet before the end of the track
i've always had trouble getting it t 60' the way it should
the front suspension is tubular control arms on heim joints and afco coilovers. the rear is cal tracks and ranchos set on 9.
i was extremly suprised to have a 1.47 60' and still run a 9.96 @137 anyone with ideas on how to get it to 60' better would be appreciated. first step will be new slicks.

Leave at 4800rpm, shift at 7700rpm. Try that first.

Your gonna need better shocks on the rear than the Rancho..
your at 9 and still need more control.. time to step up
EDIT
did you try the rears at about 7

Mike it was at bremerton on friday.
Brian i will definatly try that this coming saturday. on the old motor changing launch rpm never changed 60' times it would only change my reaction times, but with the new motor i will try it and see if it helps.
Mr P do you have any recomendations on shocks? previous settings of both 5 and 7 have only made the 60' worse.

Well if you tried the lower settings and it got worse
then maybe a set of Afco's... it sounds like your
shocks just dont have enough control... I have a
old set of QA-1s that have 12 clicks but they dont
make them anymore

To me when I watch your video, it seems like the car has no movement...not much "action" on the line.
It needs to pitch rotate more than that. Looks like the front end is too tight on up travel. You need all the stiction out of the front suspension.
The rear will never work properly if the front does not picth rotate.
Do you know what your weight balance is front to rear?
