Thats the way to go if putting it on a metal hood. I had one of these scoops but sold it about a year ago. It was high quality. I cant remember what company made it.

kendalljones OP member K Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 20 Madill Oklahoma USA	I don't know about every car but on mine with a little higher intake then stock the air cleaner hits the hood unless you use a lowered air cleaner. You can not put a riser on. The extra inches are needed. Sorry so many don't agree with my plan. Fact is we all love high performance and I am doing my best to make what I want, like, need... You know the old saying, "You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all the people all the time." Are you happy with the performance, fit and quality of part? It looks like you have a full fiberglass hood. What company did you purchase the hood from? Thank you.
