I got my bumpers and emblems done by Lakeside. They are in Northeast Ohio. The bumpers and lettering look great. I'll post pics of the bumpers when I get them installed and rest of the lettering when I get them. The pot metal letters are challenging, I think they turned out really well.

I decided to get the original bumpers refinished rather than getting aftermarket. I've had some trouble/disappointment with aftermarket and the prices we pay for some of this stuff. The cost for the bumpers was only slightly more.

Some before and after of the lettering.

Thanks for the info Crazy.. I have used Grafton in the past but there prices are really getting out of control lately.

Do you know if all your parts were done in house at that shop ? And approx how long did it take ?

Thanks

All of their work is done in house. For the emblems, it was about 4 weeks. This includes the three sets of 'GT' emblems which I will get pics of.

They also did my bumpers. They needed straightening and they did an excellent job. Very happy with the quality. Bumpers took longer, but I was not in a rush and pushy, either. About 10 weeks on the bumpers.

Here is the front. I'll get one of the back (just installed last night but camera batteries were dead).

That car is coming together nicely.
I know it's been a long time.
Mine has been slow going also.
If you don't mind me asking, who painted
your car? How much?
How much were the bumpers?
Let's see some full side shots of your ride.

Lakeside custom did the bumpers for our 70 Charger RT.

They weren't in too bad a shape, but we were thrilled how nice they came out.
Nice people to work with too.

They're in Connneaut Ohio close to I-90.

We had the Charger at Snyders Collision in Connneaut for the body work and paint and can't say enough good things about them either.

John Wilson takes one resto car car at a time to keep his men busy when collision work slows down.

That means the progress is slower but then the cash outlay is a bit easier on the finances, a consideration for some of us!

Joe

I'll send you a PM on the pricing and such. I try to not throw numbers out as every job costs different. Hate to put anyone in a spot on pricing.

I think I bought shock plates off you what 10 years ago? lol

I'll get some pictures. It is up on jack stands as I am fighting with transmission / shifter issues at the moment.

Still need to get the headliner and front/rear glass in. Do the exhaust and finish the electrical which is minimal. Bleed brakes, clutch MC, etc. and an alignment.

With the kids and work, I don't get a lot of time. I've not went in debt on this car, and because of that it had taken me a long time. Well, that and I've changed basically every piece of the car which costs time and money. Oh well.
