Big inch B-1 motor I think.

When Bruce Lagory owned it it had a 525 inch B1 motor built by BES.I think the best I seen it go when it ran NSCA Real Street was 8.78??

I believe it had a set of B1 on it that were very special ..I think Monte Smith was the originator for the heads

I agree you would be hard pressed to build that car for less $$$ Those are typical Moparts remarks about cost.

Exactly! Brown Sugar was Streetking's grudge car back in 2007. Does anyone really think that this new car would be slower? They cant conceive the cost of building a car like his 62 Dodge. People are clueless

Shawanda isnt your typical slow mopar race car, and if you think 40,000 is too much you have never had a car anywhere near as quick, or hard working as the old girl is... by the way 35,000 will buy her....

Oh come on, grudge cars are like your race cars but faster only they don't appear to be

Absolutely love Brown Sugar, it's kinda the inspiration/ goal for my 68 cuda grudge car that I'm starting, can go way wilder than the Duster will ever be. Great cars StreetKing

StreetK.
When we first met at the Nationals, I knew that I was not the only one that threw well calculated $$ at a grudge car and was relieved that I was in company in the Cuckoo's nest. LOL
Though my car isn't as near as quick as Sugar was/is, it was rather sneaky is some respect but with out the amount of $$ transplanted into its beating heart. I could just imagine what that hamster wheel could have done in my feather ruffler. I suspect the suspension was a piece of art as well.

Whats up Lee ? Actually the suspension in Brown Sugar was your normal old Ladder Bar and Coil over set up, but the Front and Rear Leaf Spring Suspension in my 62 are works of art, not as nice as your art, but something to look at, for sure.......

Thank you for the kind words.
Man, I'd sure like to have a closer look at that 62' if we link up again.
You're right, much people do not realize how much a well rounded out car can cost in $$ and headaches.
Some really strong sounding and pounding cars here in Brooklyn are starting their engines for the season. I hope to get out this season as well to nit-pick at my 60'ft record. All the best with the 62'
