Anyone use a Lokar kickdown cable and bracket?If so how was it?and was it easy to adjust?

There were a bunch of prior posts regarding Bouchillion & Lokar & there was a concensus on which one was far less problematic & a much better way to go but I didn't retain the info as at the time I didn't think I'd ever be using an aftermarket KD linkage but here's a BTT for ya

If you use a late model dak the cable is too long & there are different arm's & bellcrank ratios too
John Kunkle helped me figure out the 1st one I built using a 91 Dodge van cable & brackets (they are all the same) I searched out 4 different levers before I got the correct ratio
I have this now & can hook my cruise up too
The parts stores carry the cable
The whole Bouchillion setup is almost $160 when used with their throttle cable bracket

Many say the Bouchillon is the better set up. I've never used one. I have the Lokar throttle and "kick down" cables. They work perfectly fine. Adjustment is easy. My auto shift points are spot on. And it's a cleaner looking setup than Bouchillon. I like that.

i've used the lokar set up on many cars and have never had any issues with it. always worked great for me.

i've seen threads here bad mouthing it but who knows if they set it up properly or not. like anything else you never know who or what the installer has done.

i know the leaver i use has always been a shorter abody one. not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I tried the Lokar on my 727 and didn't like it, could never adjust it to my liking, part throttle shifts were either to soon or to late. Couldn't find that sweet spot in between. I just purchased the Bouchillon kit but I have to wait for the snow to melt before I can tell you how well it works...
