I need to buy a new yoke, for my 8 ĺ 89 pig but I donít want to open it now, can anybody tell my if there is any chance of it being a 10 spline or are all factory 89 pigs 29 spline, by the way itís a 3,91 if it makes any difference.

Thanks.

Definately either way in aftermarket. I had this problem with a customers gear set.

If the pinion nut takes a 1 1/8" socket, you have a 10 spline pinion. If the pinion nut takes a 1 1/4" or 1 5/16" socket, you have a 29 spline pinion.
