I read something about an 8 blade pushing the coolant too fast for the coolant to work effectively or something to that effect? I always had a 6 blade with no cooling problem.

For higher engine speeds the 6 blade would be better, but you might have cooling issues at low speeds. Pulley ratio also matters. The factory engineers had this all figured out which is why there are several different cooling packages depending on the application.

John_Kunkel Too Many Posts Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 25,714 Rio Linda, CA	"Best" depends on how fast you turn the pump, if the pulley ratio drives the pump close to 1-1 the 8-vane is OK but the factory used the 6-vane when they went to 40% overdrive on the pump.
