Actually that beast should fit under the hood of an LX car according to Procharger. ??? Working with Procharger we tried sqeezing it into a Ram 1500 pickup. Needed to cut/modify the right front frame rail for fitment, otherwise it was a direct bolt on and go.

i did a late model challenger with that same procharger set up. procharger gave us one of the first tuner kits out.this was 3 years ago. not sure what the deal was but it broke the kevlar belts every other pass. have you had any issues?? or did procharger fix this

I just found a local shop that will recondition/rebuild my fuel injector's for $22 each. They also provide before and after #'s.

Also looking at my intake and deminsions to close my stock hood, I can only squeeze in a 1/4" 4bbl carb spacer. Time to start wrenching again.

I have a 1"+2" carb spacer between my XV intake and elbow.

Its the way my piping is routed. Its the intake tube that will hit.

Update...I talked with Wilson Manifold's last Friday and explained my concerns. They agreed that using a 90* elbow with boost will put more air towards the back cylinders since boosted air will follow the outside bend of the elbow. I asked about using a 4 hole 4bbl spacer and their tech recommended that I shouldn't use one. He suggested to me that I should install another 1" open spacer to help straighten the air out before it hit's the bottom of the intake floor. Problem is, is that with my current setup I don't have the room unless I spend a bunch more of my wife's $$ (jk) to fab up another intake charge tube system.

Soooo...This is what I've been thinking about. How bout I tig a piece of 90* aluminum angle at the rear bottom of the base plate which would give me a 45* diverter which would push the boosted air forward but yet still allow air to follow the downside of the angle at a slower rate, plus let the NA air follow the inside bend of the elbow when I'm not in boost?

Comments are welcomed,

Jerry

Theorys are a great starting point. Bob Glidden said it best in an intervue a long time ago considering how to find power; "we (Prostock racers) are all idiots, the one that tries the most stuff wins"
Good luck with it. At the level you are pushing this beast, is it possible it may need sodium filled valves, or wider seats to live?

If you look at ductwork in industrial buildings you see that 90 degree turns have "turning vanes" in the 90s. They help the air to not stack up on the outside of the turn.
You could do something like that which would be better than what you are proposing, IMHO.

Thanks for the tip. I spent a few hours researching tuning vanes in 90* bends, after all, duct work uses forced air induction. Problem is, is I can't figure a way to install them without me making a custom sheet metal elbow.

Whatever you put in your elbow really ought to be installed from start of curve to exit, to balance the air before it starts to head to the outside radius.

FWIW, and I don't recall your setup or pictures for whether it's an option for you, but the Eddy cast elbow I have has a divider in it already.

Based on the damage you've incurred, though, a hefty re-config for a new elbow might be justified??? The Eddy elbow is ~$125 last I knew.
