Why would the car be scrapped? It looks pretty complete and solid from the photo.

Let's pretend I said part instead of scrap.
To answer your question...time/money/storage space. Running/driving cars like this one don't sell for $3500 and this car needs to be brought back from the dead. I'd hate to do it but really don't need a ninth (or is that tenth) car to insure/garage/drive.
It's a neat car I like the column shift for some reason.

I would definitely fix it, not part it. Wish I was the one to find it in the woods. I love 66-7 B bodies and that one looks very complete.

I see no reason to part that car, unless you are hurting for money and want to make some off of it.
Once you scrap it, it will be one left in the world... I say save it... Or hook someone up who wants to get into the hobby and it looks to make a great starter car.

Wow! That looks great for being in the woods! Maybe it wasn't in there that long? Around here it would have come out in 2 or 3 pieces... My vote is to get it running/roadworthy and drive as is!

Hell I'm tempted to buy the thing, and I need to spend money on another car like I need a hole in the head. It is a 383 4 barrel B body, hottest thing in 66 besides a Hemi car from MoPar. Don't part it, sell it. Less time and work, the parts aren't worth that much, and you'll make someone happy.
In addition it looks complete and has the fender tag and certicard, and I'd bet a build sheet.
Is the engine stuck?
