get a trim removal tool (the thin flat one) and a helper. one guy works the tool, the other guy guides the trim off the clips. i have an old one that's like a piece of metal banding material, with a notch cut into the center of one end, and the notch is bent out slightly. it slides behind the trim, and the little "lip" from the notch grabs the inside edge of the trim. you just pull up, and have someone help you ease it out. sometimes you need to go from the bottom instead.
my experience is, you are going to break some clips, no matter how slow and gentle you are. they get brittle, and you cant avoid losing some. be calm, accept the loss of a couple, and keep trying on the rest. (don't be like my spaz buddy, and break a clip, get pissed then just rip the trim off like a savage.)
