We are building another 68 barracuda for local racing we hope to be under 2600 lbs and we were going to put in a procharged wedge but it depends on the development of this engine. It take 4.70 to be in the game at home . In the old car if I can get in the 7's we might have a chanceif we put the engine in the new car.

1359 (and counting) is real nice power.

This looks like a permanent blown head gasket..

It is only .020 less than any 4.50 bore mopar. We have run this same bore spacing for 3 yrs in our 655 wedge with no problem.

I'm talking about the material removed from the valley for the push rods..

Nothing left of the deck..

I could be wrong, just looks scary to me..

Head gaskets only seat on sleave not on alum, This is a dry sleave motor. The scary part has always been between the cylinders.

I really like this build....

I've been considering a build with a 4.56 x 4.375 short to get cross rpm in the 9000 range and keep piston speed around 6500fps. Shorten the deck, SS style lobe relocation, keyways, individual shaft rockers, Braswells, dry sump, "good" ring stack w/tricky gaps ( ), piston guided rod, etc.....the bells and whistles.

See if Eric can send me raw a set of Milleniums and do some manipulating with chamber volume, port shapes, etc.....

I'm curious about the where the 655 makes it's peak numbers and is there going to be additional dyno time???

Is that a raised Cam block? Amazing how close everything is to the sleeves. I'm old enough to remember spending hours "O" ringing cylinders and I see this and it's scary.

It is a raised cam block by Indy. We made 1359 at 7300 and at 7500 we dropped off to 1355, peak torque was 1017 at 6800. We are changing cam acarbs. we think with the lobe seperation we are running it should have continued to buid hp to 7800. Something has to be stopping it , our guess it either the cam or the carbs. I plan at least 2 more dyno sessions. Then the track.Pete or Chuck if you se this you are welcome to post the dyno sheet.

With the paeks that close together, if you can get it to peak around 7800, it could be 1400+.

Either way, that is impressive power.

We are changing cam, carbs, valve springs , rockers and valve seats on the intakes. We will be back on the dyno in a couple of weeks.

Sweet.....

I know Yellow Bullet isn't for everyone, but this should be posted in Chris Uratchko's N/A section. I'm sure alot of people would like to read about it.....especially the guys who like HEMIs, who just happen to be some of the sharpest cats over there......like Lobes and George Bryce.

Some one may have already asked this but....what's this going in? And will we have results from the track? It's some impressive dyno #'s for sure.

Why are you having to change valve seats?

i would imagine they are the wrong material for the valve being used
