Originally there are phillips screws securing the trim, to get a screwdriver into the screw the windshield has to be out, if the windshield is already installed & the trim isn't you could possibly sneak in a very short hex head sheet metal screw...

They may be missing but originally they should have been there... If your wanting to remove the trim remove the screws you see & see if the trim will move... It rolls away from the windshield toward the inside of the car... It doesn't extend under the glass...

Is you vert a 70 or a 71? I've had the trim off of four Challengers & a Cuda but they were all 70's... Possibly in 71 when they added the screws to the anti-rattle cups they deleted the screws on the leading edge... Just a guess...
