You could check with Mike Mancini or any other gauge restorer for a metric overlay/decal for your speedo head.
A different gear would be needed to make the odometer work correctly in kilometers though..

By the way,a full face decal overlay can look good if done well...seen it on converted stuff in Oz before. (we used a decal on hundreds of Chevy trucks we used to convert to RHD) Don't forget to verify the speedo with a GPS as well to know it's correct in the first place. As said though, the odometer will still need a gear change to work correctly. Unless you could find a factory metric speedo somewhere, if there was one?

no problem-i have always wondered why you have a gmh car as your pic.-we have built a lot of toranas lately-couple of xu1`s and an l34 lookalike. i do know of nine original a9x`s all stored at one workshop-one is actually a brand new car never registered with only 140 kilometers on the clock. great to see some aussie cars got to u.s.a. all the best frank.
Aside from all the Aussie Mopars I have brought here, I bought and brought my hatch over in 2000. (along with 2 other ones as well)
While not an A9X, it is still an L32 4 speed car at least....well, was before I swapped the drivetrain out.
I've got some springs off a guy over there in Perth actually who has done the Targa West a bunch of times in a hatch..(He has done pretty well, against all the 911's and such) And shipped over a bunch of tires for another guy over there with a real A9X hatch amoungst a bunch of other goodies...Lots of cars out East of course but seems to be some cool stuff floating around out West as well.
