That is great for aluminum but you should run 75/25 for steel. Tim

I have a 8gal fuel cell to mount as well as a battery later but I could still have some mat in there.

Strangely most people with toy welders end up with argon. And that seems to be what most of the places that sell them pimp. A buddy of mine was whining his welder wasn't working and when I asked what gas he was using he said argon. My immediate response was that he got the wrong stuff but I decided to check the 'net. If you look at Praxair's website, they recommend argon for thin steel (sheetmetal) only as well as aluminum. As it turns out his problems were due to rusty wire and when we got that straightened out I tried the argon on thin stuff. I didn't care for it at all but then I'm used to a CO2/argon mix. If the plan is to weld anything thicker than sheet metal then you want to switch to a mixed gas. Praxair's "autoweld" is a good mix for bodywork and heavy stuff.
