Hey, Just cleaning up my 360 heads. Putting in new springs with the cam/lifter kit. The intake valves look real good, but the exhaust valves do have some wear.
Do you think these will be ok? I'd rather use them if I can.

What about using a valve lapping kit on them?

Exhausts look like that quite often and work fine, but a nice fresh grind and lapp on them is a good idea.

I think that refacing would get a pretty thin edge by the time the pits were removed. Best to buy a new valve.

Take the heads to a decent machine shop and get a valve job done they need it. Also your NEW valve springs need the installed height corrected and have the guides checked. Their is no good reason to go through all the work without doing the job right.

A good shop should be able to move the mating surface seat in on your heads so the heat will not burn the edges off your valves If they tell you they can't do that listen to them

Yes grind the valves and the shop should use a 30 degree top angle and narrow the seat up and move it slightly up the angle of the valve to save the valve and extra cost to replace it.
