He is now all wound up and is playing with his Hot Wheels monster trucks at 12:10 in the morning. Last weekend we met a couple at a car/motorcycle show here in Memphis. I got an email from them saying they wanted us to be their guests(in their suite) at Monster Jam. Half way through the show, a man came up to Owen and bought him a Monster Jam yearbook. I just can't get over how supportive complete strangers have been to us. It's nice to see that people still care about others. Owen was only in school for a few months but he just received four huge boxes of valentines from the school district. I just found out that we recieved a very generous gift from a construction company in town. We don't know any of these people but the generosity they've shown is amazing.

burdar OP Owen's Dad Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 7,371 Iowa	They did an MRI last week or the week before.(I lose track of time here.) They said he is responding to the radiation treatments. Adding chemotheropy after the radiation adds a few % points to the cure rate. The last numbers I heard were that they are able to cure 45-50% of these cancers. They've done amazing things with the cure rates of childrens leukemia....hopefully the brain cancer cure rates rise as well. Owen is doing great other then his eating. We are on the second appetite stimulant. The first one did nothing. THis one seems to work however, it is in pill form. Getting a 4 year old to swallow a pill isn't fun. The medication has a componant in common with marijuana. The first meal he ate while on it, he was laughing and talking to his food. I should have taped it...it was very funny.

On a side note I seen our friends who's boy has leukemia too who just started kindergarten this year. He was at school today and came out with my daughter. He was running and full of energy. I told his mom that was cool to see. With a sigh of relief and laughter in her voice she said "yes it is but I don't know where he gets it from!" he still is doing chemo but not as often as before. They have faith and know good will come. Your good will come too. Just have faith Nd cherish every moment and he to will be running like Ty did today! Contact Me about AMD Prices

burdar OP Owen's Dad Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 7,371 Iowa	I got 2 1/2 hours of sleep Thursday night.(then drove 10 hours home) I got done packing at 1 in the morning. I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. I got up at 4 and loaded stuff in the car. We were gone by 5:30. The car was packed FULL. It feels good to be back home for a short time. Owen hadn't had a chance to play with a lot of his Christmas toys yet. He's making up for lost time.
