Has anyone bought parts from classic industries? How are the parts and do they give mopart members a discount? Had seen their catalogue and was interested in ordering a bunch of parts from them??? Thanks

Their catalogue is an amazing treasure trove of Mopar items & charts of light bulb apps etc (with pics) which is very beneficial. If you order a small part from their online catalogue then several weeks later you'll recieve their pricey catalogue for free in the mail & if you provide an email address You will recieve regular discount offers up to 20 or 25%. To answer your Q I've ordered several small items online & that's how they got my email address (then the catalogue showed up unexpectedly & I started recieving discounts) & no issues so far but all I have purchased is several minor items but I have a comfortable feeling about dealing with them

The catalog is a good reference book with pictures of parts, and you get the email discount if you get on their mailing list. Don't pay full price for anything -- wait for a discount announcement. Only issue I have encountered is it seems a lot of their parts are on back order.

I agree with Greenbird a lot of thier parts do seem to be on backorder, especially when they release a discount code. I bought all my interior from them at the same time and save a ton of money with the 20% off and also the free shipping since my order was over a grand. Awesome company and kept me pretty well informed on my back ordered items.

Thanks guys you just saved me some money. I had planned on placing a large order with them and every bit I save means I can buy more parts to finish my project. Thanks again! !

I had a bad experience with a 22" fan shroud. The fit was absolutely horrible and required so much modification I should have just had one fabricated for the car (66 Charger.)
I emailed them with my complaint and they never bothered to answer me.

Classic Industries is a mopar restorations parts reseller just like Year One and the Paddock
(which has been out of business for a while now) etc...

Like any catalog reseller, they only sell other peoples repro, factory, OEM parts...

Like any catalog reseller, their reputation is going to be hit or
miss. You will find people that swear by them, you will find guys
that do nothing but swear at them for previous errors/mistakes/bad
experiences etc.

Like any catalog reseller, Make sure they have a good return policy.
(shipping will probably be on you!)

Buy only when they have a sale...
Never pay full retail for anything if you can absolutely avoid it.
This hobby is expensive enough....

Best of luck to you

Uhhh....not quite...

Classic makes all the reproduction gauges actually. (at least, could be other things too, but not sure on that) From what I was told by guys there (I have been dealing with Classic for many years) they were supplying Y1 with thier gauges originally and that was one thing that made them consider going into Mopar stuff originally. The paddock going under was another step in them going for it I sort of felt from the guy I was talking too..

That is supposed to be the case with their fan shrouds. Supposedly they bought out the people that used to make them and supply them. Either way, it is not good business to at least respond to a complaint.

Ordered an oil pan early on in the year only to find it "back ordered". Well they just started making them again and they emailed asking if I still wanted it. They are keeping their original price AND using the 20% off code I used when I bought the rest of the stuff back then. Saving me $90 from if I bought from them right now. I told them to send me two!!

So far I have bought reproduction grills, a package tray, separator panel and jute, headlight rings, gauges and some trim pieces from Classic and I have been happy with all of my orders so far.

The grill and front end pieces had perfect fits. The seams are nearly invisible.

I also agree with everyone here that the catalog is exceptional and I use that and the YearOne catalogs for pictures and references.

Some of my items were back-ordered but they arrived when they were expected.

When I was having my seats done the upholsterer told me to buy the seat cover from Classic. So I did and when it came it turned out to be from Legendary. It was a perfect fit and I got 20% off too with a discount code. I've purchased some other small item (rubber bumpers ect.) and I've had good service.
I'll buy from them again in the future.

Ted
