Last time out for this year , finally got to do a little testing at Thompson Raceway Park and came away with a new best 60 Ft. Came close to the best ET and mph but couldn't beat them. The old best 60 was 1.40 . Made a few changes in the rear shock settings and netted a new best of 1.370 . The old mark was footbraking and the new was with a T-brake.Best ET and mph for the day was 10.19 @ 130.63 . After having a trouble filled year , it was nice to end it on a good note !

Way to go Wade. You really have that big car moving. See you next year.

I may have asked you this via PM a long time ago, but I'd like to know more details of your combination. I'm hoping my Challenger can run times comparable to yours when it comes back out and knowing how yours is set up vs. mine could give me some ideas of where I may need some additional work...

Thanks Guys. The engine is a 451 lowdeck 11.2:1 , 440 source crank and rods (6.385), JE flat tops, Comp 308R solid roller in at 106 ICL ,HS 1.6 rockers,440EZ heads that I hand ported and opened to max wedge, Indy 400-2 intake with a 2" spacer/adapter , 1050 Dominator , Hooker 2" Super Comps
727 Torqueflite, TA J converter (5400) , Tranzact ultimate brake , Dana 60 4.56 , Hoosier 29.5 x 11.5W, Competition Engineering Ladder Link bars, Strange single adjustables with 150# springs,
Front suspension is stock sm. blk. t-bars and some old 3 way adjustable summit shocks on the 90/10 setting.

You better slow down alittle, that's too fast for a BIG car. The new transmission must have helped.

Fred , you could be right, about the tranny ,that is . I'm launching the car 1000 rpm higher , with the brake , than I was footbraking it. I wanted to try going up on the launch rpm more but ran out of time .

I have it installed at 106 intake center line and use Harland Sharp 1.6 rockers on the intake and exhaust. It really does work well !

Congrats on the 60ft. That's good going for a big car like that.
With a 29.5 tyre and a 4.56 gear, you must be turning in excess of 7000 rpm through the line.

Mick , it's turning just a hair over 7000 at the stripe. The 29.5 W series tire actually has a diameter closer to 31 inches.
Dom, I made a base pass first , then went 1 click stiffer on both sides and it slowed the 60 . then went back to the base setting and the 60 came back, then 1 click softer on both sides the 60 was a little better and then went 1 click softer on just the right side . It seemed to like it there. Ended up with the at 3 on the left side and 2 on the right.
