I bought a 1971 Demon that someone started putting a 1991 360 out of truck, into the car. My concern is what should I do for a fuel pump and what ways have you guys wired yours?

thanks!

Is it staying EFI or getting converted to carb?

If you are going back to carb then you'll need the la style timing cover and a cam snout extension from Hughes to mount the mechanical cam centric. If you're styling efi I'd go with a retrotek pump or something similar. Unless you are looking to make big power then a aero motive pump would be nice. There is a company that makes gas tanks with efi pumps fitted in them for our cars but I can't think of the vendor off hand.

Or if your going carb, then maybe a low pressure electric pump. If you do go electric, theink about adding in an inertia cutoff switch for the pump.

I was going carb on this one. My thoughts were an electric pump instead of a mechanical one.

Forget the mechanical pump, keep the modern accessory drive.
Use a Carter P4070 street poump to feed your carb. Mount it back by the tank and out of the airflow from any exhaust tubing in the area.
Mine has worked for decades.
There are times when electrical is better, even for a mechanical type of fellow!

I ordered a kit from Hughes today, we will see how it works.
