I have watched it twice. I was impressed with AJ's speech. I didn't think he would be that good of speaker from seeing his interviews on TV. Maybe in his interviews, he was kind of careful of what he was going to say, not wanting to make any waves in the P/S pool. At the awards banquet, it was obviously from the HEART, and he meant every word he said. He didn't need any notes to remind him of what he was going to say, it was all from his HEART. My wife cried like a baby watching it. She has always liked their Southern, humble, polite behavior(for lack of a better word right now). It is wonderful to see a family that is that close and respectful of each other and the people that help and work with them. It will be awhile before another more deserving or appreciative champ is crowned. J&J Racing you are the NHRA Pro Stock Champion.

Not to take anything away from the meaning or the emotion, but the speech was written in advance and he was reading on the teleprompter. Being a poor public speaker myself, I have no problem with that at all though.

I watched that speech of yours and I think I teared up 3 or 4 times, then when ya called your Dad up there and gave him that hug I couldnt watch it for a few minutes. Good thing it was almost over. Great to see a team with that strong of a family bond.
