I need to get some wheels from the junk yard for a 3rd gen Charger. I'm working on the car and the wheels won't hold air for more than 5 min. I'm not concerned with brand, type or looks, I just need to be able to move the car.

What should I look for that will fit the bolt pattern?

Late model mustangs
Maybe 03+ crown vics, Marquis's, town cars

Shouldn't any 4 1/2 work if you are not driving on them?
Hint hint maybe try a older mopar wheel

The newer Ford rims have FWD offset.

$20 for 2 Ford Explorer wheels with good rubber. They fit, but the center hole is too small. It'll do for moving the car around while I'm working on it.

Not many Chryslers at this junk yard.

On the Crown Vic/Grand Marquie/Town Car the offset is because they used rack and pinion steering starting in 03.

I believe a couple of minutes with a decent cylinder hone and those Explorer rims would slip right on. The difference is small.
BTW, they are 16 x 7 and the same as the 2002 and earlier Crown Vic Cop wheels.

It wasn't so much because of rack & pinion but that the suspension and everything else under there was redesigned for 2003.

if you are looking for rollers why not just grab a set of 14's steelies. can't imagine anybody wanting much for those, then grab a set of used tires for $15-20 each and be done.

The local pull a part takes the wheels and tires off the car before it hits the yard for parts. We don't even have a chance to get the wheels.
