From my understanding there are issues with fuel bowl, metering block and power valve gaskets standing up to the E-85 formula. Exactly what issues are you seeing if any and what gaskets are you using?
If you are having issues with gaskets, how long do they last before trouble sets in?

I have entered the arena of Holley gaskets and would like to test some out on E-85 and see how they fair against the competition

I have not had issues with the gaskets, I have run E-85 for 3 years but only 2 count as I have not had the car out in a year.

What I see is a white powdery substance in the bowls and metering blocks.

I figured it was from not emptying the bowls when I put the car up for a while. I have found the fuel lines, mine are all braided rubber, are a little stiff.

But again no issues with gaskets....

Well it does seem like the no stick one's stick. I never thought about it being the e-85. not sure what you can do about it.

Yeah the metering block and fuel bowl gaskets stick usually tearing them and having to put new in. I am running your base plate gasket and it has seemed to hold up fairly well. Maybe try the same coating you are using on your other gaskets and see how well they would hold up. If you need someone to test I would more than happy to try them.

hi Greg, like what already has been said, its mainly the gasket sticking that's the biggest issue i have. if ya need someone to try them out, i have no problem trying them. i plan on racing 2 more times this year .

Greg I dont have any real problems with the non stick
(but they dont release like they should but I dont
think its the fuel).. might try using a viton coating
on them.... I wish the bowls and ALL of the alum parts
had a better hard coat... the water carried in the fuel
tends to corrode the alum

We just do a little more maintenance with the E-85...Keep carb drained when not in use, inspect bowls & gaskets for corrosion and deterioration, change accel pump diaphragms & check the springs as they get corrosion on them. During engine warm-up we spray carb cleaner in air bleeds and on to boosters. No problems

Well what I've been hearing is the E-85 has been especially troublesome with the gaskets sticking to the components. Also some issues with gasket swell and delamination.
This has been from many popular brands of gaskets.

I'd like to find someone who runs E-85 to test a set of what I have. Testing so far they work real well with pump gas and race fuel. So good in fact when the bowl is removed the metering block usually falls off to

Jeff do you run Ethanol? Are you doing any more racing this year?
These are made from the same material as the base gaskets

I know what you all mean with them sticking as I've had to beat the bowls & blocks of many times myself
I appreciate all the responses

Got your PM
I assume you run a 4150 style 2 circuit carb? Want to get you the right set as I offer them for the 4500 3 circuit as well

Pic #1 is the 2 circuit
Pic #2 is the bowl gasket

This is the 3 circuit
