I wouldn't hurry to get rid of that 850. Rick Johnson won Brainerd in 2010 with a SS Hemi and a 4781 with pv's and jetted 80 square reving 8800. A 337 intake might help some.
The little old lady from Pasadena is back!

I'm always all for going faster..... but Let's not forget that Ron is running an 8-3/4" under that substantial slab of B-Body iron. I believe he has a Detroit locker in it, which is a big upgrade, but last I heard, the axles and housing are stock fare. If I were Ron, before I spent $$$ on going faster, I'd invest in a back brace and a set of good axles for his 8-3/4.... OR start building a Dana.
DAHIK.....
He can borrow my Dana, too. I'm not ever going to use it again.

Its a basic 850 DP. This pic may give you a better idea of how much room I have under the hood. I still have the choke housing on the 850 but I did remove the choke valve. It has great driveability with the 850 driving on the street but I had to jet it up a good bit from where it was jetted with the old 440 just to run to 6000 without busting up from to lean. I knew I would be jetting up but it was just alot more jetting up then I thought it would take. Ron
That does not look like a 10.70 motor at all! Especially with the dual plane, u could pass it off for a stock 426 Street Wedge to the uninformed

Ron - If this is remotely on your radar, and you want to drive to Atco, I can get a few things setup so we can have a fun filled day of trying carbs out... keep it in the back of your mind this winter !
That would be something I would love to do. I will know for sure around March if its something I could manage with no problem. Since Atco is about 2 hrs from my house I am sure I could get my brother or buddy to tow me in case the old 8-3/4 let go. I will eventually go with a Dana but so far the little racing I do the 8-3/4 has held up fine. If it goes I will just fix it or go Dana and of course I would pull the trans and go through it myself to make sure all is good in it and replace the overrunning clutch (sprag). I would also like to have the MP 337 single plane intake and try it the same day. It would really be cool to do something like that for a Mopar mag. Thanks for the offer Dave as I will let you know how it is looking on my end as soon as I can but it may be after the new year before I know for sure. Ron
