I know some people glue their vent glass in the channel with 3M black adhesive, or Permatex adhesive. Does any one sell the original tape that holds the glass in the channel, if so where can you get it and what is it called, or do most people use the adhesive? Thanks

I got the window tape from a local glass shop in a roll. They told me that I could use adhesive , but said if adhesive is used it would be very hard to get the glass out if it ever needed to come out. I wouldn't think on a vent wing that the glass would ever need to come out though.

It's called glass setting tape and depending on the thickness you need, I may have some you could have. To figure out what thickness you need just measure the vent channel the glass sits in and the glass thickness and subtract, then divide by two.
