Not sure on 69, but my 70 Sport Satellite had the wire going to the wiper motor mounting bolt.

However, my replacement blower motor, does not have a long enough ground lead, so I used the evaporator bracket bolt to ground it.

Cheers

Mark

There is a tapped hole in the firewall just to the right of the blower motor (towards the centerline of car if facing the motor from the front bumper). See attached picture. Blower motor in picture is original, but was painted black by a previous owner. that is also the original fastener under the ground as well. no head markings on it. interestingly, my original engine ground was also attached in this same firewall hole and not higher up right of the ballast as frequently seen (it is encased in the conduit as the insulation was failing badly). When i asked about whether the original engine ground on an AC car was beside the blower or the ballast no one had a strong opinion/evidence so i kept it where i found it (beside the blower). factory terminal end on the blower ground is full closed circle... again the motor in the picture and wiring are original from 69 b w/ AC
