Thank you,Greg! I did not realize that you were out that long!! I hope that I can do the Mopar Max II at CFR..I really want to run this thing as it feels totally different and stronger just running it around the block!! The only major change was from a Victor 4150 intake with a 4500 adapter to an M-1 with a 4500 flange...I did change the ignition coil thanks to Keiths ignition coil testing that showed that the old Accel coil was petering out at 6200...I cross the stripe at 6700 so there may be something to that theory... There is a 2K and a 5K coming up in a couple of weeks, maybe scrap prices will go up a bit so I can get in on that!!

One time here. After spending 4200 on an engine,(did it myself) the thing wasn't done nickel and dimeing me. Another 200 for a new battery and another 150 for a better cooling fan,30 for wiring supplys, not to mention fuel cost. Oh, and now I'm gonna have to spring for a new roof for the house Put a fork in me, I'm done! I should be making it to the strip once or maybee even twice more this year, but then the wallet is going to slam shut. Hope you make it at least once Ted.
Yeah, it's got a smallblock.

I havent been out at all this year or last year... I believe I'm going to put it up for sale in the spring.. I'll freshen up both engines that will go with it (W-2 and the W-9)... I have been spending my time and money on the Rampage.... I thought about selling my complete rig (car, 2 engines, truck and trailer) but I think I'll keep the truck and trailer

I can relate..............used to race 8-10 times a year then 3-5 and now if I`m lucky, 1-2 times if I can. I just figure that NOTHING in life remains the same and as much as I don`t like it, I accept it for now anyhow. Good thing I`m not drinking today cos times like this make it REAL easy to create havoc and chaos............Hopefully thing get better for all of us. Peace...........

I'm on disability too Ron....I can relate. Made 5 races this year which probably cost 200 bucks each race for diesel for the truck!!! Can't ever get off this Island 'cause the ferries to the BC mainland set you back $500 + every trip. Sometimes I contemplate shelving all the race car thing, but the wife enjoys it, and I'll have to admit that it's one of the few things we do together. Unfortunately, this winter will be freshenup the race engine....needs head work and springs, new flexplate, new trans shield, and god knows what else that'll pop up.........Thank god the wife still works.

I can honestly say I am having a blast this year at the track. I took a high 9 second pump gas engine in the duster and made it a 10.20 car. I added an alternator and removed the fiberglass doors and replaced them with stock doors. I make a pass and crank the windows down. When I load up the car in the car trailer I climb out the window, tie the car down and its ready for the tow home. I am going rounds again and took second on Saturday and I am starting to get REAL comfortable in this car. I still want to finish the Daytona over the Winter and race it again next year but I am not really looking forward to the extra work and 3 layer safety ware again. I may just use it for some Top Sportsman racing.

TBoomer- I have been in the same boat this year as well. Haven't had my car out since last fall. Planning on going to the test and tune at Cedar Falls Sat afternoon.
