For those checking out my twin turbo 'Cuda build, here's the '70 RR build that I said I would post. I was delivered a 2006 Charger SRT8 that was a salvage car, but ran and drove. It was supposed to be a light front hit.

After a quick tram gauge check, I knew that wasn't the case. I am using the front and rear suspension/cradles in the '70, so accurate jigs will need to be made. Can't do that with a bent car. So out with the engine and cradle and off to the frame shop.

Okay, back from the frame shop. Engine, cradle, and suspension back in and car at ride height.

Now up on the rack, squared and leveled at static ride height. I built the jigs to bolt to the rack.

Now the RoadRunner. Rear suspension out, engine, trans, and front cradle/suspension out. Body is on air jacks, and the tires (not wheels) that the RR will wear are set under the body. I move the body up and down until the customer is happy with the stance, and then lock it down.

And now is where the fun part starts. The complete front cradle and suspension, along with the complete rear cradle and suspension will be fit into the RoadRunner. Let me know if you guys want to see more of this.

Are you saying you intent to just drop a 70 RR onto an 06 Charger frame/suspension??? I would absolutely like to see that as I know the new Charger is wider and longer than the old RR so where/what/how are you cutting/narrowing/shortening to make this work?? What about the interior...dash, console seats, etc??

The new Charger actually has a shorter wheelbase. Track width is close.
I'm just using the suspension cradles. Not a big fan on skinning a car. I really don't know what that becomes or its value. A modified RR is still a RR and could be put back stock. The front rails/aprons and part of the floor pan/rails in the rear will be modified.
The customer wants the full interior, so I'll transplant the dash, seats, etc... Everything will work, from the ABS, ESP, to even the airbag. Passenger side will be disabled. It uses the windshield to deploy and would probably push it out because of the rope seal.
The driveshaft will need to be lengthened, and I have a set of custom 18" wheels being made that will clear the Brembo brakes. Don't care for 20's on muscle cars.
Will post some pics when it looks like something beens done!! Measuring and squaring takes FOREVER!

Thanks Darius, I appreciate the offer of help. Been slacking on pics. I have a few, but need to upload the others to show progress. I'll try and do that this weekend. So here is the floor section that will replace the RR's: It comes out like this: leaving this: Did some preliminary fit to see how things would line up:

Thanks guys, Heres a few more pics. Painted the floor section. If you've ever sprayed inside a car, you'll know why. I'll go back and repaint once everything is finish welded. I removed the inner rocker section and am prepping it for the square tube. Side impacts will not be an issue! The new Chargers floor section is actually 4" narrower than the old RR's floor. This worked out well because I can use a 2"x5" box beam welded to the rocker to "fill" in the space. This will give great rigidity to the body as well as offer some side impact protection over the old RR. These are still mock up picks. More mockup of the front rails.
