Thanks for the info everyone.

Cab, not really important on the trap speeds. I think I will research that Comp 282 cam you mentioned.

My turd is heavy, low compression, and thrown together with largely spare parts.
4400lb + C body 4 door
496
9.2-1 with no quench
Stock rods
KB pistons
Ported iron heads with big valves(flow better than stock E heads)
Hughes 237/242 @ .050 solid cam .569I/.579E before lash with 1.6
1.6 Roller rockers
Mildly ported Edelbrock ch4b intake
Holley 750 vacuum secondary intake with milled choke horn and fuel curve set on dyno
MP ignition
1 3/4 Hooker Super comp headers
3" to x pipe then 2.5 back
11" 2800 converter
3.55 gears
28" tire.
I ran 12.54 @ 107 this way and shift 5600-5800 rpm and it will happily rev to 6000.

I ran it this way for a couple of years and it was fun and quick for a big old street car with lots of torque and a big mid range punch.Brutal from a roll as it hooks and goes while other people spin and go up in smoke.
