i am looking for any ideas,,,
i have installed a carter elec fuel pump at the tank on my coupe,,it already had an elec pump on the frame when i bought it,,its too close to the motor but keeping it as a back up,,
so i try to do things per the instructions,,even when i think i know better,,, ive looked at several cars lately with the same pump, they all had liquid teflon sealant,, the instructions say NO TEFLON TAPE or sealant needed,,,just re-tighten as needed,, well that didnt work,,, so i used liquid teflon i let it set up for over a week,,,i still have a super tiny leak enough to make it damp around the fitting on the metal housing of the pump....the pump that was already there has some sort of dark gray sealant,,,any one know what it might be ?? or what would WORK ?? thank you in advance
