Hi there

What does one have to change (and will it fit?)besides bumper, grill and probably hood if one wants to put a ´68 or ´69 Dart front end on a ´75 Dart?

Thanks for replying.

You would need to swap all the sheetmetal from the windshield forward. And you may have to be creative adapting some of the wiring for the front lights.

70-72 is much easier. and it will look better. not sure the body lines on the 67-69 will match up.

Everything lines up from 1967 to 1976. Wiring is different, but certainly can be modified. I had a '68 clip on a 73 Dart Sport for awhile. Side marker lights are different, but if you welded them over, nobody would know.

Thanks guys for your informative responses. I am contemplating adding a ´75 Dart to my collection, but due to the fact that I like the ´68-´69 front ends; I wanted info about if this was possible. You have all been helpful.

Id be finding a 70/71 nose fir it. Much better looking than the 67/69 or the 73+ noses. The 72 would do in a pinch. I dont like the size of the 72 blinker lights..

I am truckless..

Yes you can do it pretty easily but you'll still have the ugly rear end. I think the car would look horrible all mismatched like that

In 1984 I saw a 67 Dart coming towards me and as I passed it was a 74 Dart Sport!

the fenders bolt right on and will match up fine. The grille will as well but a couple holes might need to be drilled in the rad support. The hood will bolt on, but the 71 up A bodies have large slots in the hood hinges up just be aware of that. The front bumper will present a problem because the 1975 has the shock absorbers which use different holes in the frame rails. You would need to drill and tap new 1/2" holes to bolt the 68-69 brackets on.
I have to agree though about the mismatch looking odd. The 74-76 rear ends are not very cool looking. The rear could be modified to accept the 70-73 rear bumper and valance quite simply and with a 72 front clip one could make a 72 lookalike fairly easy
