76dodgeboy OP master Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 8,064 Iowa	Post your 60s Mopar Gasser pics. I'm hoping to acquire a 64 Plymouth Fury 4dr and plan to make it a gasser. A lot of the boys back then would crank the hell out of the 2 3/4 inch adjustment adjustment bolts for the torsion bars and go gasser racing. Save your money on the pruchase of the axle and get the thing running first , and do the cranking on the bars. It will go high and ride rough like an axle car.

76dodgeboy OP master Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 8,064 Iowa	I now but if I build a gasser it will have a straight axle. Guys also use to make spacers to drop the whole susp assem to raise the front. I plan to do it right not cheap and ruin tires. It'll be street driven also

I dont follow society and the so called "normal". If I want to build a 4Dr Gasser I will. Sorry but I never asked if it would sell for what I put in it nor did I ask for opinions on that subject. I only asked for Pics of gassers. Much appreciated though

THE GLASS MAN super stock T Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,186 OHIO	Altered wheel base cars never ran in the "Gas Classes". 2 rules that a lot of people have forgotten are: center of crankshaft can not be more than 24" from the ground , and the other is that the rocker panel can not be higher than the center of the rear wheel. Those are the NHRA rules from back when Gassers ruled. I retired my Chrysler powered Willys in 1968 and still own it.
