Probally not a BIG difference on that combo, I've loaned a 1000 HP 4150 with annular boosters to a local racer that had made a custom 950 out of Quik Fuel parts, my Holley ended up bogging a tiny bit on the starting due to no jet extensions on the rear jets I have a match pair of those carbs on a tunnel ram mounted sideways, I didn't think of the jet extensions He did say it drove very well and it did run a tiny bit more MPH than his best carb. did, but he didn't want to add the jet extensions and run it again, we where at a two day bracket race where you only get three time trials, if we're lucky, before eliminations start each day

You can run anything from a 950 4150 to a 1050 4500 8896 Dominator.

Here is what you have to ask yourself. Do you have enough convertor, gear, and cam, to launch hard with the big carb, then the answer is the 1050 Dominator...

Now if you a lighter stall, a little less cam, and a little less gear, I would put a 950-1050 4150 carb on it.

If you have a tight stall big cam, I would put an annular 950-1050 4150 carb on it.

For the record, we run a 512RB big port EZ-1 head with a 950 4150 carb, 4800 stall, 4.56 gear, and it has been awesome. Would we go faster with a 4500 carb, yes, but how much faster, .1? maybe. And we would have to add a big spacer, or get a new intake.
