Hi Guys I just got a 70 cuda 340 last week. Idled real bad because it had not run much in 5 years. I had the carb rebuilt new wires plugs dist cap roto new tank and all lines and still not running. The idel is about 1500-1800 and if i lower it stalls,I put my hands over the top of the carb slowly till its covered and the idle gets less. I dont think I have a vacume problem, but there is a lot of gas going in the carb when its at idle. The plugs are all wet with gas when I take then out but on the highway it runs good. I would be interested in knowing were number 1 is on the cap maybe its off by a tooth. Has anyone ever ran across this if PLEASE HELP.
Thanks Greg
