How tight should the shackle be with the end plate not installed? Should it be loose enough to flop around or no? The reason I ask is I could barely get the shackle bolt through the bushing on my Caltrac mono’s. Without the other side of the shackle bolted on, I can barely move the shackle forward and back. Is this right, or do I need to open this bushing up a little? I thought that this might make the suspension bind up with the current state of things...And yes, I lubed up the bolt with grease before installing.

You dont want them loose but they need to move fairly easy
