67cudagreg OP member 6 Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 11 Dryden,MI,USA	I am building a mopar hot rod that is going to have a very short drive shaft .I have read somewhere that chrysler made a 727 trans with a short tail shaft. does anybody know about the availabilty of this tailshaft? thanks

RV but then you will run into the E brake on the transmission tail. Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!

It had a 318 to run the truck with a very short tail(about 6 or 8 inches) with no brake on the end. Look for an industral or truck application in the salvage yards. scratchnfotraction I Live Here S Joined: May 2003 Posts: 15,487 Florida	I have one from a 76 dodge truck club cab has a short shaft with bolt on yoke I used it in a 68 dodge Dart at one time,just built a drive shaft with a slip yoke had it in an 85 truck short bed till the sprag went they are called a loadflight in the trucks supposedly has 4 plantary gears and the extra clutches or something along that line
