I've never seen J81 coded on the fender tag of a 1970 b-body convertible (I only follow the Plymouths though) and the 'saleman's pocket guide' and the 'dealership data' book don't mention wing availability at all (that I see).

What were the 'rules' for J81? Anybody got a tag with J81 on a convertible? Any factory info that talks about the wing?

Mid year addition, so you'd need updated references. http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/whatsNew/1970/page3.jpg

Ahhh, the old 'what's new from Dodge' trick, eh? Perfect. Explains my S84 Tuff Wheel question too.

I'll assume Dodge = Plymouth until I learn otherwise.

Just so you know what you are looking for...The 70 Coronet R/T Options and Accessories Report shows about three R/T convertibles came with J81. While J81 was probably available on the 500 Convertible, I doubt you'd find very many of that model with the spoiler.

Toss in Road Runners and Satellites and maybe you'll get another 10-15.

You are looking for something that there was probably less than 25 made.

Seeking:

1969 St. Louis plant VINs, SPD, and VONs.
Over 2,000 thanks to you!

Thanks! I see where one can buy the 70 Coronet options and accessories report from MYMOPAR.com....does anybody know if a 70 Belvedere/RR/Satellite report exists? And, where did this reports come from in the first place?
