I have a 402 pumpgas smallblock. Runs 7 teens in the heat as is.Best pass to date is 7:02 with good cool weather. Has hydrolic roller cam with powerbrakes, out of the box edelbrock performer heads. I want to run the 7:0 index at our local track. I would like to run 6:90's What do i need to do to run 6:90's It is a ladderbar coilover and dead hooks traction is no problem. Thanks in advance

4:56 rear 28 inch tire shift at 5500 cross at 5500. We have shifted at higher rpm but nothing changes actually ran slower. It will stall 3200. Leave the line about 2500.

Work on the 60 ft. times, carb. squirter, ignition timing at 2500 RPM, if you run it with open headers try some collector extensions, shift it sooner in 1st and 2nd gear, in other words test, test, test and then test some more Can you take any weight out of the car? If so do that also One other thing is radial tires , if they will hook good at your track, can be worth 1/10 in the 1/8 mile, more in the 1/4 mile

Give us all the specs on the engine... even with a
hyd roller that low rpm... you defiantly have a choke
some where... you could use more conv also

Have not had the motor apart is as i bought it. Was told from last owner 4 inch crank stock bore for a 360 makes it 402 eagle rotating assembly. Around 10 to 1 compression we do run one gallon race gas with 4 gallon pump gas.

Being that you dont know anything about the engine
other than the cubes its gonna be hard to say what
it needs but I would start with the heads

What intake and carb are you running? If you are only looking for another tenth or so, you might be able to "massage" that area a bit to get there.
