Ok so I picked up a rear end out of an old funny car that was narrowed and is an 8 and 3/4. It is back braced set up for a 24" rear frame four link.

Here is the thought. I would like to weld on 8 3/4 ends on grab up a new posilocker and new axels. I feel this can be strong enough and lighter than these hulk floater axels.

Or not to worry about the floaters and use the rear as is. It has nice disk brake system but again heavy.

Just looking to be used in a pro streeted street car with blowen big block.

Thoughts guys?

Cheers Don.

Put that rascal in and drive it, if you don't like it you can change next it winter I've used a spool on the street for 7 yrs so far, it is a pain to park in parelel parking or make real short sharp turns but it will turn if you give it enough gas

The spool works better on the street in a lighter car. There must be 30 board members running them on the street.

I run a minispool in my car on the street. Parking and trying to push the car is annoying but I haven't noticed any difference otherwise. My car weighs 3128 with me and fuel

Is the center section with the rear? Back in the early 90's I almost had to buy a complete rail with an Alum 8.75, until cooler heads prevailed and the owner came around. That was before Mopar built the new alum 8.75, that they said numerous times at shows they would never build.

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.
