no kidding NONE of those steel wheels look good on any of those cars. They are not even close to a factory appearing rim. Just stop please. I think some of the older Big Fords/Lincs/Mercs and maybe some older Dodge van/PU came w/ plane-Jane 16" steelies.

Maybe you guys haven't noticed, but finding 15" tires suitable for our cars is getting more difficult, and guys are lookign at other options -- and we don't all have hte means to spend $1000+ on alum 16-18" 'cool' wheels.  If there's somethign that you don't like seeing, don't look at it. Simple.

Dont get bent out of shape. I paid $361 for all 4 of my wheels shipped about this time last year. Shop around! These are the ones I would use if I had money and wanted somewhat of a sleeper look.

Agreed. There are still a couple of decent performing, reasonbly priced 15" tires out there. The two that best fit that description are H rated radials; the Mickey Thompson SR and the Maxxis MA1 Marauder.

The MT is the newest addition to their line and was developed as performance street radial for all sorts of plus sizes, so they have also rolled that technology down in to a number of 15" sizes. The Maxxis is based off the old Gatorback design from Goodyear which was world class when it first came out and will still hold its own against a lot of discoutn 17" sizes. Don't let the LT ratings on these fool you either, they are decent car tires.
Almost all other widely available and economically priced 15" tires are going to S ro T rated cruiser type tires.
Now if you really, really want a V or Z rated 15" they can be found, but your going to pay for them. Expect prices to be $300-500 each for this level of performance in a 15" donut. By comparison, the same rated 17" can be found for $250 and less. Yes there are still $500 17" tires out there, but you can get more performance for the dollar in a 17". There also are some reasonably priced, decent looking 17" wheels to be found, but again, you have to dig around to find them. So it may become a trade off at some point of what do the consumables (tires) cost vs changing out the hardware (wheels).
FWIW, all of these guys are providers of 15" rubber. Some are crap, some are race, most will require you dig through lots of searches to find them. But they are out there.
