What is the benefit to add part-throttle kickdown to earlier VB?
Actually Charger 67 with 451 c.i.d. deliver lot of torque...
When I need more power I press to the floor and the kickdown give me the power I need.
PTK can give me some benefit!

Part throttle downshift allows you to use a more appropriate gear on acceleration without full throttle application. It will probably increase your fuel mileage. Unless they are giving away gasoline in Quebec, that would be a plus. Also it makes driving smoother.

Actually I have a throttle body with a ptk on it.
Can I just removed the valve body on the transmision and install the later VB for a PTK

You can just remove it and put it on the valvebody in the trans , that would be the best thing to do if you like the way the trans acts now.

I already install a B&M shift kit on the transmission.
This kit work well and the shift is good...
I will install this valve body in my transmision and

Been a while since I messed with it, but there are two versions of the PTKD. The earlier ones is just a little cup and piston that fits on the VB you have pictured. It was initially only found on slant 6 VBs. Small blocks got it later. I don't believe big blocks got it until the later style VBs were introduced... in 70 or so IIRC.

It's an easy retrofit on the early valve bodies. Challenge is finding the cup and plug off a slant 6. I believe A&A was selling kits at one time.

I don't see the kit in their catalog, but give them a call. As I recall though, it wasn't cheap. 10 years ago it was like 80 bucks. I was fortunate to find an NOS kit dirt cheap.
