From what your saying is this only happens when you get on it... so I will assume it drives straight when your just rolling down the road... I would look at the rearend mounting... spring perches to see if the rearend is moving

drives straight. what should i look at? the housing is the original, untouched perches.

Better yet get a video phone/camera and have a buddy start it for you, pointed at the rear end and u bolts. Won't take long to figure out then. Check your spring perches to see if they have deformed or if the axle is moving on the spring.

If its steering that much I'm thinking the stud in the spring is broke or gone that lines up in the spring perch... and I would say its the left one thats broke

I'm not sure about this ... BUT maybe the posi is taking a dump.. but I'm not sure if only one tire would be slipping all the time..(I guessing that when you changed gears you used the same posi)

the studs are all there, u-bolts torqued to spec. i had this thing apart a couple of weeks ago and everything looks secure. i'll try a re-inspection and try some measuring. thanks.

a buddy suggested getting someone to watch the back and front while doing a wot in 1st. thanks for the reply.
