At first i thought it was the intake not sealing as i had ran into the problem of having to to use 2 gaskets on the sided to fill the gap when i pulled the intake off i looked for signs of sucking oil in the runners but all were clean n dry i havent changed the break in oil yet its supper thin any chance its getting by??? its not really a blue smoke like a normal oil burner not black from rich and not really like a vapor from water it stareted doing it after putting the new exhaust(with x pipe) on the car so hard to tell what bank it coming from Last edited by toplescuda; 03/29/12 12:41 AM. 1970 barracuda convert. 1 of 59 1970 pro street A.A.R. clone (panther pink) 1971 charger 2015 hellcat challenger. hemidup super stock Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 833 MN	One of the last Hemi's I built smoked like a mother at the dyno at start up. The dyno operator even questioned me if I installed the second ring upside down. That's how bad it was. The smoking problem came from priming the engine prior to start up without without sparkplugs. After the dyno session the car ran its best times ever. Jerry Williams.

Iv had it running couple times drove it off the trailer into muffler shop all is good got home frpm exhaust fired it up to back off trailer and it was puffing pretty good as mentioned before i just fig the intake finally sucked oil up into the port is it even possible header gasket oil soked form trying to get valve cover to seal if pulled plug would it show on plug this soon? 1970 barracuda convert. 1 of 59 1970 pro street A.A.R. clone (panther pink) 1971 charger 2015 hellcat challenger. Most of the times I have removed spark plugs to inspect, they have oil on them that gets into the spark plug tubes. These help if that is true in your case. Any chance the motor is just "loaded up"? Ok went down and pulled a plug off each cyl on one bank they got burnt oil under the eletrode hhhh so sence the intake if off i looked into the ports at back side of the valve there is all kinds of oil puddeled up on top of each valve that is closed/sealed what the heck? 1970 barracuda convert. 1 of 59 1970 pro street A.A.R. clone (panther pink) 1971 charger 2015 hellcat challenger. I had a new set of MP heads worked on in two machine shops and they never noticed that MP sold the heads with too much guide clearance. The engine did exactly what you are describing.
