when I took the 360 back apart the blasted thing had a hole in the bottom of the lifter and still had some of the lobe left so I put the old lifter back in.Hay at least it was the old lifter that came from that particular lifter bore. The darn thang still runs. Was this improper break in or is Lunati using cheap steel in there lifters.Man I absolutly hate doing things a second time. Now I,ve lost big time interest in putting a new cam and lifters in my car.I was guessing on the breakin R P M and had no tacometer

well the next time you take it apart. you had best tear completely down and flush out all the filings from the oil system. More than likely already trashed the bearings. Did you use a good oil supplement for cam breaking in and an additive to run on or a good oil with plenty of zinc. I have a good supply of EOS on hand just for this purpose.

I'm thinking improper pre-load or lash most of the time when I read or hear about these kinds of things?

If everything was right, rpm is not very critical, imo just as long as it is high for a while at first break in.
