I have a really nice set of green seat belt, but I need black. To same a few dollars I was thinking of dying them in RIT dye.

Has anyone done this?

I've seen people do it. It will dye the labels too. So remove/replace/reinstall those.

People clean the belts first in soap (IIRC dishwashing soap) in a bucket.

I just put them in the dishwasher after a soak in a bucket and mean green cleaner.

Works great...
