some of you might have seen my thread about RAS and how my rockers were being held hostage! since september 2011 my rocker arms have been there waiting for an estimate for repair. ive called and called and called.. and email and emailed etc. no answer but one time months and months ago. i got ahold of gary. super nice guy. sold the company to some other people and they havent been good about the customer service. long story short i blew up their phone today until someone answered. it was gary again. super apologetic and taking care of my stuff. im almost outta there!

my point is-- dont give up on gary just yet. it sounds like he is trying very hard to get the buisness back to where it was. hard times over there finanically like everywhere else.

Thanks for the feedback, but this sounds like "The check's in the mail" until you get a tracking number!

There is no reason to keep someone's parts for that long and not let them know something. They'd be giving me my stuff back, done or not, and I'd be making other plans.

Sorry, .. Good Old Gary ain't gonna finish your rockers. Send someone to pick them up. This isn't Day Care,.. He isn't being a responsible business. The world is full of sad stories. Go somewhere else where they make something besides stories, promises and apologies. I was in the same boat over cylinder heads once. Makes me angry thinking about it. Time to move on.

my buddy is going over there soon "to visit". garys just an employee at the buisness now. its the new owner(s) that i think are most of the problem. i agree totally... pull em and be done with it. gary had better have some 98% done rocker assemblies to show my friend!

Well, RAS response time wasn't that good when Gary owned the business. It took me a year to get my (very, very, nice) SS 1.6 wedge rockers. And expensive. But he did call me a few times with updates, he claimed they had supply problems with the investment castimgs.

I called 6 months ago to try to get another set. "Oh, we've got some, I'll call you back in a week when they are ready." Since I have called several times with no answer. And no response.

It's too bad when a company has a desireable premium product or service and buyers lined up but they can't execute. It isn't a bad economy, it's bad business management.

I wish they would sell the design and manufacturing rights for the cast rockers to somebody that CAN execute. I would buy another set!

it seems to me that he is a guy that does care but somewhere along the line the exocution gets messed up. your right there is a market for what they do. id be nice if someone took over this cottage industry and ran with it. im glad to hear that he gave those calls long ago. the new guy certainly does not! lol its like they dont want profits to pay the bills.. no no... id rather fail at my buisness and go into debt!

I can see that some who posted here have never dealt with Gary. The business was indeed sold to a couple other guys, and has since been in chaos. It is my understanding that one of the new owners has since left. Hopefully the business can be salvaged. Gary himself is a great guy and had an outstanding product.

I love my Rockers from RAS but their service is kinda like Liberty Gears It's always "yeah were working on them" then 4-6 months later you get a call with an inflated bill saying hurry up and get your parts I am working with local machine shops that do heavy industrial rockers and bush connecting rods and they said as long as they can get the correct bushing stock they will do rocker arms
This great machinist is in Akron Ohio and he does quite a lot of my work and he knows HEMI engines
I will keep you guys posted

Guys, as I said in my old thread about the then new SBM RAS stainless steel rockers...even in the old days you had to call multiple times until something moved. I like Gary but speed was never his forte. With him not owning the place anymore, thing probably got even slower...

Good luck,
Ran
