What determines if the trunk lid should have the Dodge emblem? Does it depend if the vehicle has a luggage rack or wing?

You'll need the engineering drawing to determine if there were any deletions to the emblem.

I'm of the opinion also that it was always installed.

I wonder if ALL the Challenger got them for 71 as most survivor cars have them missing??? Its a hard emblem to find NOS and nobody makes a reproduction.

The emblem is in reproduction, I have seen the person that sells them at Mopars at Carlisle and have his name writen down someplace. Cost of the Dodge Emblem was around 35 Dollars.

But many of the "survivors" have picked up 70 R/T emblems in place of them!

Does your red 71 have the Dodge script on the deck lid? I don't remember holes in it.

Dave , Remember that deck lid WAS blue & I 'believe' came off a 1970 "?" .......... The emblems are a "stick-on" and I have one ....... however it's not in great shape looks like I'm going to have to hit Chris (Morty) up for one

This one's on Ebay - "stick-on" Dart emblem - What's the difference? Is there a part number on them?
